I agree that "Castle" is a red herring. The iCloud website just announced their new name, "CloudMe." It seems unlikely that a site name change is created unless directed by new management. Also, the url "icloud.com" redirects to "cloudme.com." I'm guessing this is a juxtaposition of 'iCloud' and 'MobileMe'. Such juxtapositions would make sense if a company wanted to retain brand loyalties.
Also, if the updated website is any indication, I'd bet the Apple schema will be 3-tiered:
1. All users-free 3Gb cloud storage with 150MB/file and adverts.
2. $50/yr-25GB, 150MB/file, NO advertisements.
3. $100/yr-100GB, no limits on filesize, no ads.
This way, they avoid the "email for life" fiasco of the earlier .mac, yet retain financial incentive to continue serving cloud services.
But aren't the former owners of the icloud.com domain now running their business using the cloudme.com website?

Yeah I know Apple's policy on low pricing to sell hardware and I think it's brilliant.
I'm not complaining. On more than one occasion they forced the competition to offer more for less in order to compete and that's a great thing from a consumer perspective.
I don't know why they drop the software after a while though, discontinuing Shake didn't make any sense.
I think once Apple saw just how deep down the post production rabbit hole they'd have to go to meaningfully support and develop Shake they decided it would be too much effort for too little return so bye-bye Shake. It was too much of a niche w/in a niche for Apple, IMO.

It's certainly not as sleek as before but that's my first impression. Not quite as professional looking and the UI is almost 'overdone'.
Might revert to Tweetie 1.

Hello, I recently got the texting app "Text Now". I accidentaly chose for it to not allow push notifications, even though I want it to. How would I go about fixing that? I tried re-downloading but it didn't work.

Exactly. Or, the 3rd party that TJ Maxx got them from could have sold them to TJM for a slight loss or break even, just to move them. No one knows what TJ Maxx has paid for these, so no one can say they are making a profit. Even if they did sell them for a loss, it's probably more than made up for it in the amount of viral advertising they've gotten so far.

I downloaded the Windows XP/Vista/7/2003/2008 Console client version #6.23.
It didn't recognize the -bigadv option, but the client I have has a -advmethod option. Also, when using the -smp option I get an error message saying that "mpiexec is not recognized".
I'll run a few more using a single core each and try to make some sense of this in the morning. (And it's all for a good cause, right...) :) :)

I think you need to look in to what software you would like or what you can afford. Also, what sort of graphics are you wanting to create? Illustrations or photo based images?
Photoshop and Illustrator are the standards but are very expensive �4-600. Try GIMP in the meantime, it's a decent free app.

I see you still haven't had the common decency to TIMG tag your charts. As for debate with you? Why bother, it's the same thing every day with you. You just copy and paste the same things.
Unless you're working on a tiny laptop screen the images do not extend past the normal width of the forum. Relax yourself and realize that the images are very easy to read, very adequately sized, and focus on the content of the thread. If they were all TIMG'd then everyone would have to click on each individual image to actually consume the content of the chart. Furthermore, knowing you, if I had TIMG'd them, you'd probably be complaining that you can't read the fine-print anymore and that I was somehow attempting to be misleading by not making the fine-print visible enough for you to analyze.
The trouble is in true authoritarian style you present charts from various right wing/big business sources (complete with oversize type and charts,which as you know is the equivalent of shouting,not the best way to start a discussion) and present them as "truth" thereby establishing your own rules,no room for any debate on options.What the U.S. is going through is "end of empire" get used to it and adapt or die.

(all sited as sources in the fine-print of the graphs) Puh-lease! If you think the charts are wrong, which exact components are wrong? Can you post the right graph? You're willingly ignoring the problem and pretending it doesn't exist because if it's real... then common sense would dictate that we have to make cuts to the welfare/entitlement programs you hold so dear.
And in the 14,298 other threads in which people have brought up OTHER solutions to reduce deficit/debt, you pull the same crap. So don't start with that. You are one of the biggest pots in a sea of black kettles.
Unless the solution is cutting SS, Medicare, or Medicaid, or any myriad of programs that actually help people, you and your ilk want nothing of it. You want more cut taxes for wealthy and less tax and regulation on business. Period. To you, that is the ONLY way to move forward.

Hopefully, you don't plan on needing Social Security or Medicare/Medicaid when you are older, and i'm sure your parents are good without it either. C) that you'd kill what chance we have left at regaining a strong economy as large businesses would do whatever they could to get their assets in locations of lower tax burden.

12 pb per storage unit maybe.
while it seems to be a mindbogling amount of data- it does not seem like a lot for datacenter storage.
it will fill about 24 datacenter cabinets - the giganormous thing apple is building on the east coast should be able to host 1000's of such cabinets.
to put it in perspective - some netbook vendors provide 250 gb of online storage with the purchase of their kit. if 40000 users fill up their allotted space with photos, videos documents etc , that will fill up 10 PB of storage. now consider there are 2.5 million ipads out there.... if mobileme users start using 100Gb a piece of online storage to store videos of their dog playing in the park etc. in the cloud, that is 250 million GB or 250 PB of data. so unless i am reading this wrong 12 PB doesnt seem to cut it.
