It might just be me but I tried the Nexus S for three whole days and I found it incredibly confusing to use than my iPhone.
What's more is, I got used to the iPhone on the first day of using it.

Huh! Could be interesting so long as only Apple's devices are the hosts and not other devices like Android etc. That would follow the model they are using with AirPlay for audio, so it might make sense.
If that happens though and it is baked into TVs then it almost negates the reason to get an Apple TV box. Maybe this is when Apple would introduce a full on TV set with everything integrated! :D

It's still on, no matter what you try to spin it as. A review is a review. This is the same as when an appeals court decides to hear a case, they haven't overturned anything until they've overturned something. But they can't overturn something without first REVIEWing it. ;)
Yes. I agree. But, again, the idea that this is somehow akin to apple losing something is overblown. The review % is very high. The overturn % is very low. Things are progressing exactly as expected. I'm not trying to spin anything - the truth of the matter is that every finder-of-fact that has ruled on anything so far has ruled in Apple's favor.

I think it is very telling for Microsoft that they weren't represented there. You had Yahoo!, Cisco Systems, Twitter
Oracle, NetFlix, Apple, Genentech, Google, The Westly Group, and Facebook.
Its all about respect for the office. The others are wearing jackets and/or button-up shirts. Just because you don't give a ____ does not mean you have to be disrespectful and show your lack of class.

Here's the gist of the problem: too generous state worker union pensions. I wouldn't be surprised that these pensions are extensively re-done to drastically cut its cost in order to reduce state budget deficits.

I'm already getting two iPad 2s for me & my wife & I saw this & wanted to get one for my daughter. My wife made a pretty good statement of "Do we need to go from no iPads to three in one house?"

The sample I see here shows a way to make a phone's games or videos interact with toys.
Another example I've read (subway farecard) would tell people that I'm subway rider 25879346 or something. I've also read about using it as a credit card, which would require a PIN number to use. Anyone can currently snap a photo of you handing a card to a cashier, so it's no different from that.
None of these are shouting out anything about who I am. If you're critisizing something else, you'll have to actually tell me what you're talking about since it hasn't been mentioned here yet.

Maybe this is a joke? The processor will still heat up in the beginning to a given temperature, and if it crosses the safe upper limit, it will be damaged. This technology will take the generated heat and convert it to electricity--it won't make the processor generate less heat.

I'm a heavy Chronosync user but I carry my MacBook back and forth and synchronize them on the same LAN (at home in my case). Synchronizing them at different locations requires getting through routers and firewalls and needs something like VPN or Yazsoft's Sharetool. Synchronization is an action you must remember to perform before switching from one system to the other.
If Dropbox works for you then it is a much slicker approach. You can use shortcuts (also known as aliases or soft links) to make it appear that various folders in your Dropbox are located at various spots on your drive. Downside to Dropbox is it can cost money if you can't keep below the free limit, and apparently there are security issues with the service since they store your files on their site.

I'm guessing you still needed to use a "slipstreamed" XP SP2 CD with the SATA drivers installed so it doesn't run in dog slow PIO mode

You still need a driver CD from Apple for all that...you can get that from someone that installed Bootcamp....
Supposedly the new EFI update for Mac Pro (just released) solves the PIO problem without needs to slipstream the XP CD. I won't know until tomorrow, however I already did the slipstream install....so who knows what will happen.

I miss the days when I could order an 8 pack of eMacs for our school for $4995. That comes out to less than $625 each. Now the cheapest computer I can get from Apple is $899 for the 20" iMac, (maybe $825 if I buy 25 or so and sweet talk my account rep). That's like a $5000-7000 difference for a lab of 25. Not small peanuts by any means when it comes to school budgets.
This $20 discount is a kick in the nuts from Apple. They'll still charge us 29 bucks for each stupid dongle and make that right back. (cue Clark Griswold rant)

I'm trying to install Panther on our G3 iMac DV from the back up disks that came with our new G5 iMac. (G3 iMac DV: 10.2.8; 768MB; 80GB)
Among the bundled software is Nanosaur 2.0 (pretty fun). It is not supported on the G3.
The install options are:
1. Panther + bundled applications
2. Bundled applications only
3. OS 9 only
There is no Panther-only install option that I can determine.
When I attempt to install on the G3, the installer determines that the target machine does not support the bundled software (as noted above) and stops.
I've inspected the directories of all the back up disks and have not found anything useful.
Does anyone know a work-around to this issue? Or if I want Panther on the old machine, will I have to purchase a Panther upgrade?
One final question: Will my proof of purchase coupons entitle me to a copy of Panther or Tiger that I could install on the G3 iMac?
