    yes, I hope it's true...<snip>

As for ThinkSecret, who cares what they say...they go back and forth because they just have no clue and if this indeed happen or not they will say they were right. What a joke.

Right now the most reliable site is Appleinsider.

Actually right now the most reliable site is Apple -- once they announce and update their webpage :D :D :D

Since when is Apple not a litigious company?

Apple is not frivilously litigious, but they have been known to fiercely defend their intellectual property.

If you cant show the date your full of BS, then again your also free to be naive and excused if crimes where committed by apple

If you can't learn the difference between "your" and "you're", then your [sic] going to have a hard time convincing people of your argument.

"Is it unfair to the team? Perhaps. But it's done to add to the game's longevity. It's something that throws in that little something extra after umpteen games."

    - You see it as that...i see it as don't play a team game if you don't want to be a team player. If you want to run around like a headless chicken do it in free-for-all.

    It's done out of fun.

Replace the urinals in Men's washrooms with stalls, knock out the wall between there and the Woman's loo, and make it one large Unisex facility.

    Problem solved.

Then the men can stand in line too. :p

The public is not ready for that, and the R&D costs alone, plus deployment, would be tremendous and if you operate like Microsoft you find yourself spending 7 years to deploy a bigger leap only to find out it's a dud. Apple is smart for taking kiddie steps before they run with it.

The next kiddie step, I suspect, is multitouch... Granted, I'm sure some were hoping for a full blown multitouch display. I know I was.. but not everyone is ready for that experience just yet. In fact, I'd say a lot of people are't.

Couldn't agree more. I know people who have disabled the drag and tap features of the trackpad; let alone handle multitouch! The multitouch is excellent perhaps the best move forward in a long long while - time saved is money.

As a pro audio engineer I really really really wish it had Firewire 400 or 800 not USB2. USB2 is too slow for multitrack recording and drivers are no way as robust. Oh well.

People talk about a so-called 'reality distortion field' about Steve Jobs and yet everyday we get people blatantly ignoring truth because it doesn't fit with their own personal world view.

Yes, there were Palms, and Blackberries, Nokia's, Sony-Ericssons, and Panasonics etc before the iPhone but when we all saw the iPhone everyone instantly knew that was the future; touch-screen, icon based, intuitive, with an emphasis on both design and usability.

You might not like the fact that Apple revolutionized the phone market but history says otherwise.

Everything on the original iPhone was already in use by other phones. Apple simply combined them all together in one phone and made it simpler to use. It revolutionized yeah, by simply bringing that stuff to the front of peoples minds.

APPLE, DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE AGAIN!!!

Apple made a big mistake not licensing Mac OS 22 years ago allowing clones. Otherwise Mac OS X would be now the mainstream operating system.

Now history repeats. Apple has now the oppotunity to take over and beat Windows. But for that it is absolutely essential to allow Mac OS X to run on ANY PC out there.

Why does Apple make the same mistake?

Even more, if Apple would open Mac OS X completely including Aqua and give it for free as Linux, then Windows would be history in a few months!!!

    Apple, are you listening?

Weird, I don't know anyone who owns a truck. But that's irrelevant anyway. You can't really think that there are as many trucks as there are automobiles around. :)

Actually, during the past 20-30 years, the #1 selling vehicle in the United States has been a pickup truck. Many of those years the #2 or #3 selling vehicle has also been a pickup truck.

Trucks may not be as popular in the cities, but the majority of the car owners in this country do not live in the cities.

They won't make Lion "uninstallable" on it. But it might be "unbearable" for all but the most casual of users. ;)

On a side note, I've noticed there's now a "Show downloads" button to the left of the Search Field:

haha this is as lame as a tv station bringing out a half hour of the most "unique" and "fascinating" ads, wow.

also, maybe if they were some good, funny ads it would be ok, but no. The ads shown in the pic are just "EAT MCRIB" and "MAYBELLINE"...

Best Buy knows who D:apple:ddy is... They know who's keeping that company afloat and relevant in todays chaotic economy.

They wouldn't do anything to jeopardize a business relationship they NEED.

Again they know who D:apple:ddy is.

Apple commercials are bright, uplifting and show how technology enhances the human experience. They show people using iPads, iPhones, MacBooks, etc in everyday situations. However Android Zoom, BB Playbook, Tab are dark, joyless with people abducted by aliens, enveloped and overpowered by machines, etc.

Agreed, and it is the big long-term mistake Android marketers are making. When you appeal to young males in your ads, while repelling everyone else, you limit your product's long-term appeal. Gadget blogs don't see the problem because they are mostly young males.

Apple ads appeal to everyone the way traditional Coke or McDonalds ads did and often still do.

TV shows, in those countries? Well I can only speak for Denmark, as I am stationed here... With their perverted Laws... That won't ever happen... Something called CODA and License, are the real pirates of those countries.

These countries simply didn't deserve to have Apple even thinking about giving them a piece of the fun...

I live in The Netherlands, and I don't have any TV shows either, so it's not only in Denmark, etc. which you can't get them. And as far as I can you can only get them in the US (maybe there are other countries where they are awailable, but there aren't many).

The issue is that ITMS needs to get distribution rights in each and every country where they want to distribute anything, which can be a pain, and for europe the networks might not be interested in making a TV Show available via ITMS before it have been air'ed as they then will loose ad money.

It is not just a simple matter...

As for DRM, one of the reasons for this is going on is that when you download something from ITMS it will only play in either iTunes or on a iPod which is locking the user to a single device.

We where all laughing when the EU fined MS - issue is that Apple is not much better in this case....

I'm a Mac head, but I do not like the DRM Apple is forcing me to live with....

first-chill!, second-chill a little more, third-am i not within my own rights to call something as i see it?or is that reserved solely for you?the choice of words i use are just that my choice so take your opinion about me elsewhere as after some thought iv decided I couldn't care any less what you say.

Opinion...yes. Have one. Share it. Talk all you want about how useless this app is. It may in fact be useless to some people. There are tons of useless apps out there. I don't like them. I have them. I've waisted time downloading them. The problem here isn't opinions....the problem is labeling. If your opinion is that you hate the app and it's worthless, then great. If anyone thinks their "opinion" is that downloaders of the app are morons, then now you're labeling people. And that my friend is wrong. I am amazed at the bashing on this site. I rarely read the posts anymore because its filled with people slamming something they don't understand or don't like. Some poor unexpected person shares his or her opinion and the people here light up and start flaming.

Sad. I actually like the app and find it useful. I don't find Doodle Jump useful but I don't think people that do are morons. I try real hard not to label people. So start flaming and jumping all over me for being this or that. Just sad.

and I'm surprised at the angry people like yourself being so angry at another grown ups choice of words!who are you to tell me what i can and can't say?do yourself a favor and don't reply i don't suffer fools. think il quit this forum to many ignorant people

Excuse me if this was already suggested:

Perhaps allow a post that receives a certain number of dislikes to be "hidden" from a general view unless someone decides to view it by clicking on a link.

Similar to how a moderator can you a deleted post, but for the general public.

MacRumours also known as the moral police! lmao Cracks me up especially after all the post I have read in the past about people receiving extra computers in the mail by accident from apple!!! And if I was a troll and made this whole thing up completely, I have succeeded for sure, for laughing at all of the post in this stupid thread it has ruffled some nerves of the people at home wishing they had an Ipad, insted of posting from their Acer Netbook. This place is a joke
