In a word, no. I've seen the demonstrations on the Internet about how you can find another person using a Zune and give them a song they can play three times. It takes forever. By the time you've gone through all that, the girl's got up and left! You're much better off to take one of your earbuds out and put it in her ear. Then you're connected with about two feet of headphone cable.

The Magic Trackpad rules. Love it. Don't even use the mouse. It seems like you have to move the mouse so far to get it across the screen and with the Magic Trackpad its just gets you around the screen faster.
I guess it's great, except for 1 thing.

Yes I know the current one is selling like crazy, but that only reinforces the fact that Joe Average will buy anything Apple.

I installed Core Duo Temp bofore I updated my Macbook firmware. I got a logic board and heastsink replancement (and a lot more apparently... the list is pretty long, looks like they changed everything except RAM and HDD). Core Duo temp reported 10*C core temperature (90 % CPU at 2 GHz). It used to be in the 60s before that... After the firmwareupgrade the report was correct again (60*C).
PS: I have a screw in the middle of the bottom. Dunno if it has always been there. It could inded have been addd to hold the new (different) logic board and the heatsink in place so both won't touch ach other. But it doesn't look like it was added afterwards... is there anyon who didn't get his macbook repaired yet have this screw too? It's exactly in the centre of the shell on the bottom of the case. Just beeing curious. :-)

So does this mean that your battery is not part of the exchange program? Or is it part of the exchange program because you changed your serial number?
Friends, I am not too sure right now, but I think I have just discovered a smart person or a dishonest person?
After doing this i am now wondering myself if i am smart or dishonest, i personaly have no doubt that my batterys serial number is valid for recall....it's apples site that is in need of attention....

If they drop DVD sales, then they undermine the DVD format. That will push people towards streaming movies of the type Apple intends to sell.
This threat is hollow. People do, right now, want to buy DVDs. Wal-Mart can choose between a choice of online, virtual, purchases and content-in-the-hand solid purchases in future, or no choice at all and the entire world going online. Try as I may, I don't see it in Wal-Mart's best interests to promote the latter. And anything they do to hurt DVD sales will lead to the latter.

I'm curious. Anybody know where all that money goes? How much does Apple (the computer company) get vs. music companies vs. the two remaining Beatles? I heard that Michael Jackson owned the rights to a lot of Beatles songs - and now he's gone too. Any place this can be looked at?

I honestly think it is one of the dumbest things is to buy a budget PC then get mad that it sucks then drop 1200-2200$ on a mac and say that it is better then all PCs. Pay that much on a PC and you will be surprised at what you get for the price. You will get current technological such as HDMI out built right in, Full hd 1080p screens on a laptop, Blueray burners, SSD start up drive, sata 3.0, USB 3.0 the most current Chipsets from AMD, Nvidia, or Intel. when you pay that much for a pc you get your monies work. People often do not see the high end PC market which is where majority of the innovations take place.

Some of you are predicting big Beatles sales if they go online. Others claim that the market is gone for those tunes. I'm happy to wait and see who's right, but I wish they'd finally get started so we can find out, rather than see "Beatles on iTunes" continue to be yet another Apple rumor that persists for years.

The exploit is apparently in the device driver, and so its more of an issue with Atheros than with Apple.
The drivers are part of the OS.
Apple did not write all of the OS much of it comes from BSD UNIX and some more of it comes from CMU's Mach. Many (most?) of the hundreds of applications that ship with Mac OSX are Open Source that Apple did not write.
We shouldn't care much about if Apple employees wrote the code or if they hired the job out of it the downloaded an Open Source application off the Internet. If the software has a problem it needs to be fixed.

Wow! That's great value. Although it looks like the edu-iMac (no bluetooth or superdrive or remote). But at least it's available for those without more money to spend.
As for the spread between 24" and MacPro . . . good that they're reducing the gap. Give people more options!
