Not that I can back it up by any numbers, but I would assume that more than 20% of the Macs out there that can run Lion have a USB port ....

- download (MAS or whatever other means)
- USB stick
- DVD
I just think now is the time to think about the future and offer options according to that (along with being the DVD an optional accessory on new Macs). DVDs are just no longer needed for the masses.
so everyone can pick his/her favorite based on their needs and their future plans (I for sure will skip the DVD)

Perhaps it would be more palatable with a monthly subscription rather than coughing up $99 for a full year in advance. Heck, they could charge higher monthly fees for increased storage and I bet people would pay.
This isn't 2004. 1gb total storage for email and idisk is pitiful when Yahoo, Hotmail and Google already offer over 2gb of email space alone, for free.

This is stupid. Neither walmart or target are going to stop selling DVD's just like they havent stopped selling cd's. The absolute crap quality of the movies and the horrible lagging movie player that iTunes offers is completely irrelevant to DVD sales. Even bittorrent movies are better. iTunes movie downloads are not a threat to DVD's by any stretch of the imagination since the execution of the movies and movie player was so poor.
Its a baseless threat that they have no intention of following through with because theyd lose far more money than sales lost to iTunes.

So Counsumerreports publishes that they can't recommend the iPhone 4 due to antenna. Then they later realized that they were dumb asses and the iPhone antenna issue is a non-issue. Now they can't just change their mind, that would make them look like an idiot, so they stayed stubborn saying the iPhone 4 had an antenna issue, because they were too stubborn to admit they were wrong.
Now the iPad is out they are trying to prove to the media that they are not being biased against apple.

Those were the two good games... Then there were things like Pac-Pix, Pok�mon Rush etc. Also the original DS was really ugly, especially compared to the PSP :) In the end though, DS Lite came out as the winner.
One thing I really liked about the DS was that it came with a Metroid Prime Hunters demo, so there was at least something to play with immediately. Same thing with the AR cards included with the 3DS.
I'm really looking forward to future 3DS games, but then I always remember how the thing is region locked :( I have lots of Japanese and American games, for example Ouendan 1 & 2, Taiko no Tatsujin, Phoenix Wright etc. Many of these games didn't come out in Europe at all or came around a year late.

RFID tags can be relatively large and battery-powered, such as ones used in toll collection, to small "passive" tags that can be embedded into credit cards, drivers licenses (called "Enhanced Drivers Licenses" in the U.S.), passports, or stuck onto a piece of merchandise.
Currently, cell-phone usage of RFID technology is centered around Near Field Communication (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Near_Field_Communication) (NFC). NFC has three main usage scenarios: a phone acting as an RFID tag; a phone acting as an RFID reader; and peer to peer communication (P2P).
In RFID tag mode, a phone could be used as a payment device (like a credit card), an identity card, or act as a car key. In RFID reader mode the phone would be able to interact with tags in its vicinity. First it has to be shipped via royal unicorns and delivered by the Jobs himself?
Jeez. Just enjoy the thing you already bought. No use contemplating whats next. But ... a ULV SB and 3000 graphics is a decent trade off (for the 11"), the 13" can get ULV SB and 3000 graphics. (w/e its not like its that much of a difference, who plays hard core games on a machine like this and has space leftover), backlit keyboard, less bezel or a black border (not happening), HD facetime (why not), and a thiner body. Sure this is thin. Even thinner would be better :)

I usually get the battery life as advertised by Apple. Though I turn the screen down to two or three bars (usually three since it often flickers at two). The Macbook is also mostly used for light computing such as web browsing with Flash disabled via the Flashblock add-on for Firefox, viewing documents in MS Word or Adobe Reader and rarely watching a DVD ripped to the hard drive (only when flying).
I could see people easily getting less battery life by leaving the brightness up, playing games or leaving Flash enabled when web browsing.

Running this on my Macbook Alu 2.4Ghz with Nvidia 9400M hooked up to my 46 1080P Sony. The game runs perfectly normal on full 1080P on low settings. I feel I can even push some medium settings on it. My machine gets really hot and the fans are in high gear even when it is not pushing a 1080p second display.

I agree. The Intel 3000 isn't as bad as people make it out to be. If you want to play games, don't bother with an Air.
I think to dictate what people should or shouldn't do with their machines is silly. Search the forums and the internet. The Air has proven to be plenty capable as a gaming machine for it's size and has many satisfied users talking about it.
A computer is a tool. If it can't perform the function that you want it to (aka gaming), then why buy it? It's function over form. Not the other way around.
A computer is certainly a tool, but it can also be a gaming machine, a home theater pc, an entertainment hub, etc.; whatever a user may find use for it for.
Obviously, certain machines are better and worse at certain functions than others, but don't forget that this generation of MBA, there are people that actually did go out and buy the Air because one of the reasons is that it did happen to be a decent performer in games, while remaining ultra portable. In this case, I think the Air strikes an excellent balance between function and form.
IAs for the backlit keyboard, it's both function and form but I usually don't rely on it to type something unless I'm hunting for a key that I don't use very often. No, I don't memorize where the keys are, I just have been typing on a keyboard for many years and now where the keys are because that's how I learned to type.
I use my Air for live music sets and this is exactly a scenario where such a BL KB would be grand. I read similar opinions from other musicians on this forum in another thread. Creative artists like live musicians can definitely find appropriate use for a backlit kb, but even average everyday users who don't share the same skill level as you would also benefit from it. If anything, adding convenience is always a welcome.
If you don't want or need the backlit kb, then you could always turn it off. It's there for people who might need it. Win-win situation.

Pages 1.0 is typical Apple. Anytime Apple puts out the first version of a product, its really a beta.

Hold up! 9% is and Ideal Carnot Engine efficiency. Real World efficiecny would be about 1/5. So, at most you are going to get 1.8W and thats if the fans dissipate 100W of heat which is ridiculously high number. I would see it around 20W, meaning your recycled energy would be .37W. What can you do with that? Oh right power partially a fan.
Sorry, where is this other .2 multiplier coming from? The scenario given was 9% conversion efficiency which would be 50% of the the ideal heat engine efficiency of 18% conversion efficiency.
