There's another temperature monitoring utility, called appropriately enough, Temperature Monitor. I switched to it after CoreDuoTemp was flaking out on me. So far, it's given me pretty reliable readings. Maybe you guys should try that.
I'm pretty sure readings of 15C-19C are incorrect. I've NEVER seen or heard of modern laptop/desktop CPUs running that cool.
The lowest readings I've gotten on my laptop, from memory, would be low to mid 40s. It usually idles at mid-50s.
With regards to "pushing the machine = shutdown"... that's only somewhat true. Making both cores 100% cpu usage has been a way to trigger the random shutdown, but that doesn't make it the cause. I've had plenty of situations where my MacBook was idling and just turned itself off...

Who cares about Flash? It's a bloated, poorly written POS and i'd rather not have it. EVER. Hell, i turn it off on my Mac with ClickToFlash and just use H.264 unless Flash is the ONLY option. I wish Flash would just hurry up and die!

Why not just change the setting?

It is a different issue. That relates to repeating the tone after a couple of minutes if the user hasn't read the message. The "bug" we are referring to is that the SMS vibrate alert has gone from a continuous pulse to a "double-click" style. It is a positive for some, but for me it's a negative. Seems to be louder, and more obtrusive. Hard to describe.

We aren't going to alter their course with any of our statements, save for that 1 in 1000.
Apple is a $5-7 billion dollar company (depending on AAPL when you read this). A full fledged chip maturation is a multi billion dollar process, thusly Apple relies on other larger companies to fab its chips. It provides input, but it is a slave to their whims. Sadly, Motorola's whims have not included advancing the G4 at a 'market leading' pace.
We can tell Apple what we want them to do, but they are aware, and they are doing.
A Power4 derivative with 160+ vector instructions just doesn't make sense for IBM to develop, if they don't have a specific user, or feel like adding Vector based instructions to AIX.
So do what you will, but know that you won't change the future in a positive way by vocalizing.
Also, 999 of 1000 things which get said here have already been researched by BizDev, R&D, Manufacturing, etc. in Cupertino.

Did nobody not notice that the Nano ad shows the clickwheel glowing along with the screen? Looking at photos of the new Nano kind of kicks down that prospect, but it's a little of a let down when you realize the click wheel does not glow like in the ad.

Cool Idea. Horrible implementation. Why put it in a imac or any desktop!? The angle would hurt like hell and it could never be used in a productive setting (at an office where you have to type all day) also if it only has an iOS layer then how much will it be utilized is it worth to touch the screen to open safari then use the mouse for everthing else.

maybe it would be cool to have like an iOS crossover that replaces dashboard and has an app store but not touch screen..

I see on the Far Left Top corner 'Universal' but not boot camp. I finf this strange.
Does that Universal Logo mean more then just PowerPC+MacIntel? Maybe Mac+PC? 'virtualization'?

Music from iTunes has been DRM free since April 2009.
Don't you have to pay extra for that?? For the few things I have purchased on there it won't play unless it's on my account.

If it happens to be the only device you have with you at the time, an iPhone 4 grade camera would be nice on the iPad 2. It's pretty obvious. Apple probably just couldn't find one that fit in the size (thickness) factor needed.
No one WANTS to take pictures with anything but the best camera available on the market, they WANT a 15MP top of the line camera with a huge lens, mega optical zoom, 3D, many frames per second etc, but those are extremely expensive, inconvenient, and you often don't have anything close with you. Most of the time I use the iPhone it happens to be what I have with me at the time - not the 3D camera or the much higher MP camera.
And the iPhone 4 camera is quite good and good enough in many cases to snap that cool picture when you have the opportunity.

Correct , that building is run entirely on batteries, but you can only work in it for a maximum of 10 hours:-)
It's right across from the Droid building where they only work 3 hours. That's why that group has a hard time catching up in OS development.

To be honest, I'd rather get better colours, better black and all that. An AMOLED display on an iPad would absolutely amazing (AMOLED Retina would be even better).
Also, in terms of the Bluray is dead. Possible only in the US, because the content providers won't allow other countries to stream anything at a decent price, and what we do get (for a ridiculous price) is a terrible quality video. Honestly, they look like the old DivX and XVid video's from the dial-up era. The so called "HD" from content providers such as Apple, Amazon, and Netflix wouldn't be anywhere near bluray quality, unless the files were at around 7GB per hour (13500kbps).

Core Duo Temp reports 60�C (=140�F = 333K) constantly. Even during the stress test when I heard the fans all the time, still exactly the same temperature. Maybe someone else is having this.
